Who this policy covers

FireRock Golf Club is the contact for privacy questions about this website and enquiries sent to our team. This policy covers website interactions; independent booking and payment providers also have their own privacy policies.

Send privacy questions or requests to info@firerockgolf.com, with “Privacy request” in the subject, or call (519) 471-3473. Our mailing address is 10345 Oxbow Drive, Komoka, Ontario N0L 1R0, Canada.

Information you provide

The contact form collects your name, email address, enquiry topic, message, and phone number if you choose to provide it. We use that information to respond, discuss your request, and arrange services you ask about. Messages are delivered to our team by email using Resend.

Information you send directly by email or phone is also used to handle your enquiry. Please include only what is needed. Do not send payment card details, passwords, government identification, or sensitive health information through the general contact form.

Website usage and technical information

If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and session journeys, including pages viewed, links and buttons used, scroll depth, course videos, menu and gallery interactions, and enquiry form starts, attempts, errors, and successful submissions. Google Analytics uses cookies to recognize a browser across visits. Our tracking events do not include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or message text entered by visitors. We do not use session recordings or enable Google advertising personalization through this integration. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

The website is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic, such as pages visited, referring sites, and general browser, device, and country information. Vercel describes Web Analytics as using no analytics cookies. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation for details.

We measure clicks on booking and purchase links, package downloads, and successful enquiry submissions without including your contact details or message in those analytics events. Vercel Speed Insights measures page loading, responsiveness, and layout stability. See Vercel’s performance monitoring privacy information.

Hosting and security services may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver the website, investigate errors, and limit abuse. The contact form uses an IP-based request limit to reduce repeated submissions.

Public course, menu, and announcement content is loaded from Sanity. Weather information is loaded from Open-Meteo. When your browser requests these services, they receive the technical information needed to respond, such as your IP address. The weather request uses the course location rather than your device’s location.

Cookies, browser storage, and embedded services

Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. You can decline or change your choice using “Analytics preferences” in the footer. We store that choice in your browser for up to 180 days. Declining stops our Google Analytics events and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this website. Existing cookieless Vercel traffic and performance monitoring remains active.

The website uses session storage to remember when you dismiss an announcement during a browser session. You can remove this information through your browser’s site-data settings.

The Pub page includes an OpenTable reservation widget. Loading or using it connects your browser to OpenTable, which may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policy. External booking, shopping, maps, and social media sites may also use their own cookies when you visit them.

You can manage cookies and site data in your browser. Blocking them may affect embedded reservations or other third-party features. You can contact us by phone or email if you prefer.

Booking and purchase providers

Tee-time booking uses Totale Integrated; table reservations use OpenTable; the FireUp Pass purchase link uses Paperform; and online shopping and gift-card links use Square. Information entered into those services is handled by the relevant provider and may be shared with FireRock to fulfil your booking or purchase.

Review the provider’s privacy and payment information before submitting details. The FireRock website’s general contact form does not process payment card information.

Service providers, sharing, and retention

Website hosting, email delivery, analytics, and booking providers process information as needed for their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to address fraud, misuse, or a security issue, as permitted by law.

Service providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws. Enquiries and related business records are retained according to their purpose and applicable legal, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements. Contact us for details about records relating to your enquiry or transaction.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can browse the public website without submitting the contact form. Providing a phone number is optional. When you submit an enquiry, you ask us to use the information you provide to respond and handle that request.

You may ask to access or correct personal information held by FireRock, ask about its use or retention, or withdraw consent where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request. Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide a requested service, and legal obligations may require some records to be kept.

For information held independently by a booking or payment provider, contact that provider as well. If a privacy concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Keeping information safe and policy updates

The website uses HTTPS and controls intended to reduce misuse. No online service or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. See our Security page for reporting guidance.

We may update this policy when the website, providers, or information practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For questions about this policy or a change, contact info@firerockgolf.com.
